Seasonal Skincare: The Ayurvedic Way (Ritucharya)
Ayurveda recognizes that we are not separate from nature - we are part of it. As seasons change, so should our skincare rituals. This adaptive approach is called Ritucharya.
Winter (Hemanta & Shishira)
Vata season demands rich, warming oils and heavy moisturizers. Increase oil massage frequency. This is the best time for Kumkumadi and rich night creams.
Summer (Grishma)
Pitta season requires cooling, soothing care. Use lighter oils like coconut, increase hydrating mists, and favor cooling ingredients like rose and vetiver.
Monsoon (Varsha)
Humidity increases Kapha. Use lighter products, increase cleansing frequency, and incorporate detoxifying ingredients like neem and turmeric.
Spring & Autumn
Transitional seasons require transitional care. Gradually adjust your routine as you move between seasonal extremes.
